Wihlborgs invests in Helsingborg’s new city district
A completely new business district is being developed – Oceanhamnen Waterfront Business District – barely a stone’s throw from Knutpunkten in Helsingborg. This is where Wihlborgs is constructing the Prisma office building.
“Oceanhamnen constitutes an exciting addition to Helsingborg’s development. When we were developing the new office spaces at Knutpunkten, we noted the demand for modern, centrally located offices in Helsingborg with good communication links,” says Jan-Erik Johansson, Property Director at Wihlborgs.
Prisma will be a unique building that reminds one of diamonds, icebergs and jewels, according to the developer. “This is where we are creating flexible office premises for modern companies that want to work out of a unique property in Helsingborg’s new city district,” Johansson adds.
The property comprises office space of 13 000 sq. meters. Project planning is in progress and construction is planned to start in the first quarter of 2018. The first tenants are expected to move in at the end of 2019.
Oceanhamnen is the first phase of the H+ urban regeneration project, whereby one million square metres of old port and industrial land will be developed as a completely new city district. The district will also be attractively located, close to water, at the entrance to the city and will be linked to Helsingborg’s central station, Knutpunkten, by a new pedestrian and cycle bridge.
