Two new university facilities in the USA

The North Carolina State University will build a new engineering building at the NC State Centennial campus in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. The contract is worth USD 106 million.

The new school facility that comprises about 21 000-gross-square-meter and will house engineering labs with the latest technology, classrooms and administrative offices.

The construction start is scheduled for April 2018 and the project is expected to be complete in July 2020.

The second education facility will be built by the University of South Florida Board of Trustees. The investment includes the Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute at the University of South Florida campus in Tampa, Florida, USA. The contract is worth USD 63 million.

The contract consists of the construction of about a 37 000-square-meter facility, including auditorium and classroom space, clinic areas and scientific laboratories.

Site work began in August 2017 and the project is expected to be complete in fall/winter 2019.

Both contracts will be executed by Skanska, one of the leading construction and development companies in the USA, specializing in building construction, civil infrastructure, public-private partnerships and commercial property developments in select US markets.
