The second contract was signed with Västfastigheter to build a care facility at Kungälv Hospital, Sweden. It is worth about SEK 940 million, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the third quarter 2017.

The seven-storey care center (buildings 16-18) will be about 33 000 sq. meters and comprise 280 single-family care rooms. Skanska signed a strategic partnership agreement with Västfastigheter in 2016 aimed at developing and building the New Kungälv Hospital.

The intention is that the building will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Gold. The environmental classification system Miljöbyggnad is administered by the Swedish Green Building Council and certifies new and existing buildings focusing on energy, indoor environment and materials.

Construction has begun and will be completed in two handovers during the third quarter 2019 and the third quarter 2020.
